The coveted Port Douglas Long Lunch is always a hit
What happens when food and paradise collide? Taste Port Douglas. This annual foodie event sees seasoned chefs, industry influencers and food lovers flock to the barefoot capital for a four day festival of culinary indulgence.
The drool-worthy schedule normally includes a festival village with food stalls from iconic local restaurants, live cooking demonstrations, masterclasses and live music. The iconic Port Douglas Long Lunch delivers a smorgasbord of the finest local food and beverages and has become iconic to the region. Other past events have included cocktail masterclasses, street food parties and seafood feasts.

Salt House Food & Wine Festival

Taste your way through distillers, breweries and wine makers at the Salt House
Make way to the Salt House to sink your teeth into one of Cairns’ biggest Food and Wine festivals. Sip on your favourite cocktails and taste your way through tongue-tingling drinks by distillers, brewers and wine makers. Pair your tipples with great food, live music and more. Kids and under 18s are welcome to this event until later in the evening, so why not bring along the whole family?

Cairns Food & Wine Festival

Taste your way around the region at Cairns Food & Wine Festival, an annual showcase of food and beverages from around Tropical North Queensland that is for adults only. Normally held at Munro Martin Parklands in the Cairns CBD, guests can munch on their favourite eats whilst watching live music and entertainment.

Splash into Sunday sessions at Boardwalk Social
Make Sunday your ultimate funday and head to Flynn Social club at Boardwalk Social. Treat yourself to a three-hour beverage package with over 11 pop up stalls and food, whilst you boogie away your afternoon to some of Australia’s best DJs. Make sure you take your swimmers, as VIP access to the level one pool is included!

Feast of the Senses

Taste an abundance of exotic fruits at Feast of the Senses
Take your hearty appetite and head to the Cassowary Coast, south of Cairns, for Feast of the Senses. Held in the art deco town of Innisfail, this three day festival showcases the Cassowary Coast’s fresh and unique local produce. Think exotic fruits and locally grown meat, seafood, spices and wine.
Celebrate the 5th anniversary of the World’s Longest Banana Split, which was a whopping 8.04km! Hop aboard Snapping Tours for a tropical cocktail cruise, taste the tropics at a sit down dinner at the Crown Hotel or explore local producers on the Trans North Northern Food Trail or Norfoam Southern Food Trail. Or simply browse of an array of food stalls, listen to live entertainment or take the little ‘uns to the kids zone.

Cairns Craft Beer Festival

Pull up a pew at Hemingway's to sample local beers
Hop your way to Hemingway’s Brewery to taste a range of freshly made coldies from breweries and distilleries throughout the region. Sample beers from Hemingway’s Breweries Port Douglas and Cairns, Barrier Reef Brewing, Coral Sea Brewing, Macalisters Brewing, Sauce Brewering and distilleries Devil’s Thumb, Mount Uncle and Wolf Lane.
Accompany your beers with smoked meats from the Hemingway’s BBQ smoker and locally supplied seafood. Entry is free and there are prizes up for grabs.
