Tropical North Queensland by bus
Jump on the bus and head to Tropical North Queensland. Buses depart multiple times a day from Brisbane and travel up the coast to Cairns. The journey takes about 30 hours and you can enjoy the ever-changing scenery as you travel through almost 2000km of Queensland countryside.
There are two options for the journey – Greyhound Australia and Premier Motor Service. The high-quality coaches have panoramic windows, comfortable reclining seats and air conditioning, and Greyhound also offers free wi-fi and USB chargers in every seat. With both lines you can choose to make a direct journey or buy a “hop-on hop-off” ticket and break up the trip with overnight stays along the way.
Once you’re in Cairns, Sunbus Cairns, operates a regular public bus service servicing Cairns’ suburbs including the northern beaches and Palm Cove.
