Held in the heart of sugar farming township of Gordonvale on the first Saturday of each month (February through December) is the Gordonvale Cottage Markets. Weather permitting, there may be up to 120 stalls at the markets each month, with stallholders from all around the region. With live entertainment, smiling faces and a little bit of country town flare, the Gordonvale Cottage Markets have been declared a must-do event by stallholders and visitors alike.
The local Gordonvale Scout Group convene the community markets, giving the youth members an opportunity to develop leadership skills and get involved with the local community. All funds raised by convening the markets go toward the running costs of the youth group.
