The Very Short Film Festival is a national celebration of bold, bite‑sized storytelling, showcasing emerging Australian filmmakers who prove that five minutes is more than enough to surprise, delight and spark conversation in the busy space of films. Movie goers will settle in for a curated mix of comedy, drama, documentary and experimental gems. Each film brings its own flavour, its own voice and its own creativity to the screen. The program blends standout stories from the 2026 national festival, giving patrons a chance to experience fresh Australian filmmaking on the big screen all in quick, punchy bursts that keep the night moving.
