Savannah in the Round (9–12 October) roars into Mareeba with top country music artists, dancing, camping, food and markets. Join music lovers for four-days of live performances across two stages and more. Savannah is more than a concert; it’s an Aussie celebration under the stars.
Shine On Gimuy (16–26 October) transforms the Cairns foreshore with dazzling light installations and performances celebrating the Yidinji Nation through immersive art and culture. During the festival, head over to Dream Aloud (18 October) to experience a powerful fusion of First Nations music, storytelling, and artistry at Munro Martin Parklands. A flagship celebration within the Queensland Music Trails that honors the enduring spirit of First Nations culture.
Or for a change of pace, the Port Shorts Film Festival (18 October) brings the magic of short films and cinematic storytelling to Port Douglas, offering a unique window into the storytelling talents of local and international filmmakers. Music lovers are in for a treat with the vibrant Be Social Fest (24–25 October) debuting at the Cairns Showgrounds. This dynamic festival combines international stars with local legends, immersive art installations, wellness experiences, plus an array of local food vendors to keep revelers fueled! Whether you’re there to dance or just relax to the music, Be Social Fest offers an unforgettable weekend vibe in the heart of Cairns.
Cairns Fashion Week (18-23 November) elevates the natural beauty of Cairns showcasing daywear, streetwear, evening wear and couture from local and international fashion designers. Featuring runway shows, glamorous social events and live entertainment, expect the unexpected from this high fashion event.
Looking ahead to 2026, the Heatwave Festival (13–15 February), Tropical North Queensland’s newest LGBTQIA+ celebration will turn up the heat in Port Douglas with three vibrant days of pride! The inclusive festival invites everyone to come together for a program of dance parties, dazzling shows and live DJ’s, tropical dining and everything hot in the tropics!
Rounding out the endless summer, food lovers will enjoy Feast of the Senses Festival (26–29 March 2026) in Innisfail. Feast on a bounty of Tropical North Queensland exotic fruits and fresh seafood, native and aromatic spices and unique tropical wines. Learn to recreate your favourites at cooking demonstrations, or just enjoy a tasting, before browsing the market stalls, and enjoying a range of family-friendly activities.
