Four Mile Beach
With four miles of golden sands and swaying palms, Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas is one of the most popular and well-known beaches in Tropical North Queensland.
Take to the sands by bicycle, hire a sun lounge and spend your day relaxing under the shade of an umbrella or take a dip in the calm waters. Swim only in the lifeguard patrolled area towards the northern end of the beach. Here you’ll also find the trailhead to Flagstaff Hill and a number of cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
Four Mile Beach is also host to a number of public events including the Port Douglas Carnivale, various sporting and triathlon events, mountain biking, running festivals and more.
No place in to stay Port Douglas is far from Four Mile Beach but there are a number of accommodation options with sea views or direct access to the beach.
