Join an day of culture, colour, and community at the Cairns Japanese Bon Festival!
Now in its 11th year, this free family friendly event invites everyone to experience Japanese tradition right on the Cairns Esplanade. Enjoy authentic Japanese street food, high-energy performances including taiko drumming, mochi pounding, karate demonstrations, J-pop tunes and live music. As the sun sets, gather around the illuminated Yagura stage and join the Bon Dances, then end the evening watching the fireworks display.
