Walkabout Cultural Adventures

Walkabout Cultural Adventures offers fully escorted day tours led by local Aboriginal guides, exploring the Port Douglas – Daintree region of Tropical North Queensland.

A choice of half and full day tours exploring the local area and focussed around the local Aboriginal connection to country: the only place where two world heritage sites meet, the world heritage listed Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.

The Australian Aboriginal people have maintained a sustainable and respectful relationship with the environment for thousands of years. Learn about the cultural connection the Kuku Yalanji people have with their land. Learn about the different environments, plants and resources, bush foods and medicines. Sample some seasonal bush tucker while appreciating the history, culture and traditions.

In order to provide more personalised tours, they operate each tour with a minimum of two passengers and a maximum of 11 passengers. Tours can be booked on a shared or private basis.

With all tours being family friendly and catering to all abilities, please advise any mobility, dietary requirements or allergies as tours can be modified to suit.
